| all of the above can be in it but definatley aliens of more then one variety. lots of cool new stuff such as weapons like BFG and plasma cannons, vehicals/ personal space crafts hover cars. | |

| How about the players are the away team for an exploration ship, everyone picks a specific job(medic, bio-scientist, xenologist, geologist, security, etc)we can do a couple of different planets/ sub-stories. | |

| I like the exploration idea and the aliens but someone will have to explain what a xenologist and a BFG are(obviously not the big friendly giant).
Also some of the aliens will have to be intelligent- we cant just go round killing them all- thats what the zombies story is for. | |

| Yep, I agree, we need some sort of strategy involved.
The expedition/exploration sounds good to me, could also lead to a colony after a while.
At some stage we need to get the chance to kill a mutant sheep. | |

| Incorporating the colony and exploration ideas;
How about this:
Deep space probes and scans have revealed this planet to be viable for colonization.
The first wave of colonists are dropped, along with supplies and construction materials, ship leaves.
Support ship will return in two months with more people and stuff.
Colony is effectivly cutoff from any offworld help until ship returns.
